Hey there!
I’m Grace McConnaughey, and I’m a bit of an accidental artist. I currently live in Northern Colorado, though my roots have me missing moody beaches, the rainy streets of Seattle, crystal-clear glacier rivers, misty pine forests, and the the coffee shops on every corner of the Pacific Northwest where I was born and raised. (heyyyy, Bellingham.)
I’m an artist and a writer, and this website is an outflow of those two passions combining. I’ve seen the Lord use daily long-term physical pain and unknowns to draw me closer to Him in so many ways, and through those seasons, the outflow has so often come out in painting and the written word. It’s been such a humbling joy to see the truth He has written on my heart come forth in tangible ways through these creative outlets, and I continually pray that His name would be lifted high through these ventures.
On this website you will see paintings, writings from my heart, tutorials, videos, helpful tips for getting started in your own paintings, thoughts about living with chronic rare illnesses, and my love for beauty, humor, and Jesus.
It’s my goal to serve and glorify the Lord—to know Him and make Him known with my life.
And it’s my goal to serve those I come in contact with through Across Fields Studio.
