FIRST post on the ol’ blog. Whooo! Everyone’s favorite thing to figure out what to write, right?
I figured I’d dive in and introduce myself. But, whew! With all the website building, email automation list building, blog building, copywriting, email writing, writing….writing….building….researching….writing…it starts to feel like how can this possibly be the very first post? Haven’t I been doing this for ages?
Aaaha, nope. This is just the beginning of the road, Grace. But get your seatbelt on, it’s gonna be good!

Okay. So. 5 things you should know about me (other than that I’m an artist and…all that stuff it says on my “About” page).
- The “bb” button on my computer sticks real bad and either usually doesn’t give me anything at all or coughs up a bunch of extra letters. As in the above quotation marks. I promise I meant to just put one “b” there! Blame the keyboard! But I feel this is something you all should know right from the very beginning as it could affect you personally. It feels good to get that out there. (Hey, look! I had to laugh just now when my computer autocorrect wanted to autocorrect this back to what my keyboard had originally typed–even after I had corrected it. No, keyboard. No.)

- 3-shot iced americanos with “you can’t get too much cream in there” are my thing. I will basically never turn one down, day or night. Anytime ever. Just so you know……
- I have a very rare auto-immune disease that is…very rare. It’s most prevalent in middle-aged Turkish or Iraqi men. Mhmm. Totally my demographic. It’s a progressive and cyclical disease. This basically means it gets worse over time and as it gets worse it doesn’t get better. BUT, it also goes in cycles. So sometimes it’s better than other times. “Take one day at a time” is a real motto over here. I won’t go into any more detail about it now, but you’ll hear me talk (and laugh!) about it here and there as it’s a pretty significant part of my life.
- I ruin electronics. Continually. And I don’t mean that I drop them or download malware onto them or…anything nefarious like that. I, like, me personally, as a human being, just…who I am as a person…ruins electronics. Watches stop awhile after I wear them. The guys at the AT&T store cringe when they see me coming because they know they’re going to just have to give me a new device because the crazy stuff going on with the old device has “never been reported” before. (Maybe that’s what’s up with my “b” key? Huh…)
- Okay, for this last one: you need to know that Jesus is my life. And that’s no cliche. I’m human and live in a broken fallen world and don’t profess to be perfect by any means…which is exactly why I need Jesus so desperately. My faith and love for the Lord is integral to who I am and I can’t remove myself from that—and have no intention of trying. So you’ll hear me talk about it here on the blog. I find great joy in talking about Him.
All righty. That’s all I’ve got for ya for now.
I would love it if you would sign up for my emails so you can stay up to date with things—I have a lot planned for this year with my art business and so much more. There’s a handy link in the sidebar to sign up! And when you sign up, you’ll get a free art print download of one of my original paintings! <3
Happy Tuesday!
Grace
